Cat Face Quilt
Finished Quilt Size: 36″ by 40″
I’m finally finished with my Cat Face Quilt for my little cousin, Quinton! I don’t know how it took me almost three weeks but it did! Ideally, I would like to quilt every day for at least a few hours. It was my goal, actually. But reality took a big bite out of that plan. My schedule is so jammed pack with all my son’s classes and home study, and on top of that, I have to feed and bathe him on a daily basis! He’s taking up all of my quilting time! So really, I get to quilt about a couple of hours every other day… or so. I suppose that’s enough time as long as quilts get finished, eventually. I suppose… Logi needs to remain my top priority ;-)
So the Cat Face Quilt is ready just in time for Quinton’s 2nd birthday party, which is this weekend. Get a look at his cute little face here. The photo is almost a year old. I hope I can get a nice updated photo of him at the party.
Here are more photos of the finished Cat Face Quilt. Poofs wanted to get in on the quilt photo shoot action. I could never say no to him. Plus, he makes a nice photo prop for my Cat Face Quilt.
Some scrappy binding made of the remaining cat face fabric pieces.
Here’s one shot of the pretty quilt backing.
I love these little cat faces. I hope Quinton will too.
So up to this point, I’ve been doing a lot of straight-line quilting. In my next quilt, I dare venture into the world of free-motion quilting. I’ve ordered a darning foot for my little sewing machine and once it arrives, I’m going to start exploring this new world. With focus and determination, I’m going to teach myself to free-hand my quilts and I’m going to like it! Keep you posted on my progress!
