I love it when readers reach out to me by commenting or sending a message!  I always love hearing from you!  I have noticed a pattern in the type of questions I am getting, so I thought I should write a little FAQ’s page… just for fun!  Here are some questions I get asked often:

Q:  Can I sell finished products made using your tutorials and patterns?
A:  YES!  All I ask in return is that you credit my work by linking back to my original post.  I put a lot of effort and hours into these patterns and tutorials, that I make available to you for free.  I just want a tiny bit of recognition for the hard work.  😉✨  Thank you!

Q:  What kind of sewing machine do you use?
A:  I use a PFAFF Quilt Expression 4.2 Sewing Machine.  It’s a DREAM MACHINE!!  You can sew, quilt, and embroider!  On my many visits to quilt conventions, I would stalk the stores that brought these machines for visitors to try out.  I loved it from the first day I laid eyes on it…  It took over a year for me to save up the money for it.  It’s worth every pretty penny!

Q:  What kind of camera do you use for your photos?
A:  I have a Canon 6D DSLR body with a Sigma 35mm f/1.4 ART lens.  It is an awesome camera and equally amazing lens!  The bokeh (artful  background blurriness) is so dreamy and beautiful.  It is perfect for my style of photography on this website and in portraits.  I will be using this camera for decades!  I’ll never give this baby up!

Q:  What program are you using to edit your photos?
A:  I use PicMonkey Photo Editing Software & Phone App!  It’s great for photo touch-ups, collages, and really professional looking text overlays.  This app makes my photos so very Pinterest-worthy!

Q:  Do you take orders for custom work?
A:  Not at this time, unfortunately.  I have been focusing most of my efforts in online tutorials and pattern-writing.  There just isn’t enough time in the day to make custom creations to sell.  Thank you for asking though!

Q:  Are you interested in collaborations?
A:  YES!  All the time!  Please send me a message to discuss details.  Please note:  I only collaborate with companies and bloggers whose interests align with my own.  Thank you!

That’s all I’ve got for this round of FAQ’s!  As always, keep the mail coming!  I love reading them! 💖

Happy Crafting!

Amigurumi Crochet Bunny Rabbit + Free Pattern + Tutorial, handmade bunny, yellow dress, flower scarf

One of my closest friends, her daughter Amelie is turning 3 years old.  Such a sweet little girl deserves a gift that is handmade with love.  Her current favorite animal is a bunny and her current favorite color is yellow.  Let’s hope she hasn’t changed her mind by the day of her birthday party!  😊

This little crochet bunny is a free pattern.  The materials you will need to make this are as follows:

Materials:

Yarn Colors:  White, Yellow, Brown, Pink, and Green

Crochet Hook F (I prefer the in-line crochet hooks by Susan Bates when I work on amigurumi projects.  It helps me get a tighter tension.)

9mm Doll Eyes with safety backings

Embroidery Floss

Aurora Borealis Quilt

Finished Quilt Size: 53″ by 53″

This is my absolute favorite quilt I have ever, ever, EVER made! (and I’ve made A LOT of quilts)  This is also the first quilt I’ve made to have gotten published and featured on the cover of Quiltmaker Magazine.

I originally designed this on good old fashioned graphing paper, just as I do with all my quilt designs.  However, I thought about how embarrassing it would be to present my little graph paper sketches to a national quilt magazine, so I decided to step up my game and invest in professional quilt design software.  (In case you’re wondering about the software, I use EQ – Electric Quilt Software, and it’s awesome.)  It took some monkeying around and a bit of practice, but I learned how to efficiently use it and designed my quilt pattern on it.  I LOVE how it turned out!

If you’re interest in the pattern, it is available in my Etsy shop:  Aurora Borealis Quilt Pattern

Aurora Borealis Quilt, Rainbow Quilt, Star Quilts, Negative Space, Square Quilt, Green + Teal + Purple Quilt, Patchwork, Squares, Modern QuiltThe beautiful fabric I used is from a line called Peppered Cottons by Studio E (from my favorite fabric shop, Fat Quarter Shop!).  The colors are brilliant and almost completely solid.  The fabric has grains of very faint black and white strands woven into it.  This little detail adds an amazing amount of interest and dimension to the colors, as well as extra texture to the fabric.

Some pretty turquoise for the quilt binding.  Such a pretty and vibrant color, and helps frame the quilt perfectly.
