It’s the end of 2014… I really wanted to finish one more quilt to add to the collection for 2014 and I did it! So proud! Ok, I cheated a little. Little, as in, it’s a mini quilt. Sad trombone sound….wah, wah, wahhhh… but it’s still a pretty cute mini quilt. :)
I had some fabric scraps left over from my Oh Clementine jelly roll, by Cluck Cluck Sew. I wanted something fast, of course to get it done in time for my last post of the year! So here it is! My Tic Tac Toe Mini Quilt!
It was my first time straight-line quilting at 1/4″ apart. Boy, does it test your patience! I imagined it to be a simple and very fast task to just run it through the machine in a straight line again and again. But it was tricky tricky! The more I worried about keeping the lines straight, the wonkier the lines got! It was still a fun process and I’m happy with the end result, after adding sashing and binding.
Here it is, up on my wall. I’m inspired to start a mini quilts wall of my own to for my sewing room (slash kitchen corner). It should be a fun decorating process. Definitely on the list for 2015!
I am feeling really good about 2015, guys, and I hope you are just as optimistic and motivated as I am to make it a great year! This quilting blog is a new venture for me and in the past 3 months that I have been doing this, it’s been such a blast! I’m getting to know the quilting community and what nice people you all are! I’m happy to be a part of it and I can’t wait to see all our creations in the new year!
